We are not currently accepting visiting residents or clinical observers.

Requests for Clinical Endocrinology Visiting Resident rotations beginning January 2027 will be considered starting July 2026 and require a minimum of 6 months’ notice.

Clinical Endocrinology Visiting Residents

Residents currently enrolled in an ACGME-accredited U.S. residency program may request a clinical visiting resident rotation with the University of Washington Endocrinology Division. Requests require a minimum of 6 months’ advance notice and are subject to capacity and institutional approval.

Visiting resident rotations are contingent upon:
• Program capacity
• Site approval
• Completion of required institutional documentation

Clinical/Research observerships - on hold

• Occur only at UW Medical Center (clinical only) or Harborview Medical Center (clinical or research)
• Require a sponsoring physician with active privileges at the hosting site. The Endo fellowship does not provide sponsors.
• Require approval through the respective Medical Director’s Office
• Do not include hands-on patient care

Important:
The UW School of Medicine does not offer clinical observerships for international medical graduates.

Research Visits

Research-only visits are not clinical observerships and are coordinated alongside the VISIT program. Individuals seeking a research appointment must have a faculty sponsor and apply through the University of Washington VISIT program.
